What are your candles made of?

100% natural soy wax and pure essential oils. No paraffin, no synthetic fragrance oils, no dyes.

What is the difference between essential oils and fragrance oils?

Essential oils are distilled from plants. Fragrance oils are made in a laboratory to imitate a scent. Fragrance oils are cheaper and throw a stronger, more constant scent — which is why most candles use them. Essential oils are subtler and shift as the candle burns, the way a real garden does. We think that is worth the difference in cost, and we would rather you knew exactly what you were breathing.

How long will a candle burn?

Roughly 20 hours for 100g and 30 hours for 150g, if you trim the wick and keep each burn under four hours. See Candle Care.

Why is my candle not scenting the whole flat?

Essential oils carry less far than synthetic fragrance. They are designed for the room you are in, not the whole house. In a large or open space, two smaller candles work better than one large one.

Can I reuse the vessel?

Yes — that is the point. Clean it out and use it as a planter, a brush pot, or a small dish. Instructions are on the Candle Care page.

Are the salt candles all the same?

No. Each salt crystal is hand-cut, so every vessel is a slightly different shape, colour and size. Yours will not look identical to the photograph.

Do you do corporate or wedding gifting?

Do you deliver outside Cairo?

Can I pay cash on delivery?

Yes. Cash on delivery and card payment are both available at checkout.

Are your candles safe around children and pets?

Soy wax and pure essential oils are a cleaner burn than paraffin, but any open flame needs care — keep candles out of reach and never leave one burning unattended. Some essential oils are not suitable around cats in particular; if you have concerns, ask us which scents to avoid before you order.
